Masterclass Series
IHLA Global Health Literacy Summit 2021 is pleased to offer a series of Masterclasses – an opportunity for a health literacy expert “Master” to meet with three “Apprentices” to exchange knowledge, ideas and strategies. Apprentices may include students, early or later career practitioners, researchers, policy makers, or others interested in learning from the experience of a health literacy expert. Each Masterclass will be 60-minute and include three selected Apprentices.
Selection of Masters
Masters are selected because of their experience and recognized contribution to the field of health literacy (List of Master to be announced)
Selection of Apprentices
Apprentices will be selected based on their application, topic of interest or project, and their commitment to attending the confirmed schedule Masterclass at the summit. Applications will be available soon on this website. The deadline for submissions is 30 June 2021. Selection of Apprentices will take place by a subcommittee of the GHLS Program Committee, in consultation with the Masters. Three Apprentices will be selected for each Masterclass, one additional Apprentice will also be selected and be ready in case of a cancelation. Applicants may apply for only one Masterclass. Selected Apprentices will be notified by 20 July 2021.
Invited Audience
There will be limited opportunity to sign up for a Masterclass as an active observer. Active observers are invited audience members who will engage in discussion with the Master and Apprentices at the conclusion of the Masterclass.
